Fruit are some of nature’s most beautiful objects. Fruit come in different vibrant colors like orange, red, purple, yellow and green and numerous shapes. This makes them very good natural d'ecor items. The beautiful thing about them is that you and your guests can always pick up what you admire and eat it. Using fruits and vegetables as natural décor is a proven tactic in wetting appetites as well as improving moods around the table for livelier meals.  Which fruits can you use as an attractive décor?


Apples are hardy which allows for stacking several together. They also come in several colors particularly luminous green and dark red. These can be mixed and placed in a large ceramic white glass.  Apples are rich in flavonoids, antioxidants, and dietary fiber. They have health benefits in fighting inflammatory diseases, hypertension, and cardiovascular ailments.


A bunch of yellow ripe bananas is one of the most appetizing sites.  Bananas can be placed on the table singly or in a bunch. Setting one or two bananas at each seat on the dinner table invites your guests to a delicious dessert. The bright yellow color of bananas has been found to be famishing.

Bananas are rich in nutrients and vitamins with Vitamins B and C, potassium, manganese, magnesium, foliate and dietary fiber. Eating bananas is helpful for digestion. The metal nutrients also help keep stable blood pressure.


A bunch of grapes while still on the vine is also an irresistible sight. Grapes come in deep purple, red or green color,which sometimes occur on the same vine. A bunch of grapes can be placed in the same bowl holding the apples to make a double serving of nutritious décor.

Grapes contain a variety of micronutrients including niacin, thiamine, riboflavin, and foliate. They are also laden with minerals like sodium, potassium, and phosphorus. The skin of the grapes provides dietary fiber which aids in digestion. These fruits also contain high levels of water content which keeps the body hydrated.


Along with the yellow and red of bananas and apples, the orange color of ripe oranges can also arouse high appetite. Oranges can be placed as a bunch in one large bowl containing other fruits like green apples, and deep purple of grapes for color variety.

Oranges are rich in Vitamin C also called ascorbic acid. This nutrient has powerful immune boosting properties which help fight off common ailments like colds.
