The water you use comes from a plant in the city and there are thousands of homes if not millions that must be serviced. Well, that is a lot of energy. It takes a lot of electricity to move this water around from the city to your home. So use less then less energy is used.

They say most shower heads have a 2.5 gallons per minute flow and of course their are others a bit faster and some slower but that is the average. Try to purchase newer faucet heads. The later the model, you will often find the better the efficiency.

A dripping or leaking faucet can not only be nerve wracking, but it can inflate your water bill quickly. Just like your shower heads, make sure to modernize your faucets to get the best efficiency and water flow that will keep the pressure high, but reduce the flow. Efficiency is when it is operating its best and servicing the consumer better.

Toilet Flow Keep in Check

They now make toilets with different flow types. The modern ones will especially have a heavier or dual flush with number two and a single flush with number one. Always check leaks or drips in the back of the toilet because these can easily be missed and if not caught cause much havoc.

Light up The Bathroom the Right Way

Have you ever awaken in the middle of the night and turned the bathroom light on only to hide your face because it's like you are in New York City.  Some bathrooms are simply too bright. The best bulbs for bathrooms are the LED's.  They provide good lighting and will cut back on electricity usage tremendously.
