According to fashion globe, Stella McCartney is one of the few first designers to have 45% of their company operations to run on 100% renewable Green Energy. All McCartney stores, outlets, offices are powered by renewable wind energy.

McCarthy was part of the leading team supporting the Natural Resource Defense Council, (NRDC). The commission is a Clean by Design Programme basically pursuing waste reduction and pollution
Stella McCartney Foundation
In 2019, McCarthy launched her foundation, Stella McCartney Foundation. The foundation was launched to aid donation of Post-Operative Mastectomy Compression bras to women going through Breast Cancer treatments.
What She has Achieved
McCarthy has been in successful collaborations and partnerships with top companies since times past associating with companies such as Gucci Group and Adidas.
Currently, she operates with over 50 outlets scattered across Paris, Los Angeles, Rome
She signed a deal with Adidas in 2014 to design a collection of sporting kits and outfits for women.
At the New York ACE Awards 2008, McCarthy was awarded the Green Designer of the year which came after the 2005 “Organic-Style Woman of the Year Award”.
In 2013, she was then appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire(OBE).
Stella McCarthy has worked and designed for the creme de la creme of the society. Interestingly, she designed the wedding reception dress worn by Meghan Markle, the royal bride of Prince Harry for their wedding reception.
