WHOLEROLL AROUND THE GLOBE

  • Our Generation is Responsible For This

    Tuesday, February 26, 2019

What are we doing to protect and empower the next generation? How are we involved with defeating the climate crisis. Whitney Houston used to sing a very inspiring song entitled, 'The Greatest Love of All,"...  Some of the wording goes like this.

I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way.  Show them all them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride to make it easier. Let the children's laughter, remind us how it used to be....

Yes, the children are our future. We have a responsibility to both nurture them as well as leave them better off than we had. This song is a reminder of our responsibility to the next generation. To not only teach but to provide for them a better place.

Someone once said that that we the people don't own or inherit the earth, we are simply responsible for caring for it and passing it on to the next generation. How do we care for the earth? We do so by living sustainable lives that don't pollute Mother Earth.

One of the greatest national security threats and threat to the next generation is the global climate crisis. Caring for the next generation involves being responsible today with our goods and the earth. How we live now is directly related to the next generations tomorrow. They will unfortunately have to live with the repercussions of today's generation's irresponsibility.

It really all begins with solving simple solutions that everybody can be a part of. It requires united governments and countries creating agreements that hold each other accountable. It requires small business, local business and Fortune 500 companies to incorporate sustainability practices in their core missions and value statements and then consistently practice it.

WHOLEROLL is a company that plants trees in the Gulf of Mexico areas for every pack of tissue sold. This may seem like a small task but it is a start. A start in helping to rebuild the Gulf Coast wetlands and areas devastated by storms because of the crisis.  It helps to rebuild local communities. If every company, business and individual find out what they can do to make the earth a better place, our children no doubt will not only be the future but will be better off in it.

Sorry, Cranberries Don't Cure Urinary Tract Infections But They Are Good For This

    Friday, February 22, 2019

Ok, for so many years women have been made to believe that cranberries will cure or prevent urinary tract infections. Where that idea came from who knows. But not to rain on anyone's parade, cranberries do have some pretty good benefits and we are going to take a look at a few.

    1 )Fiberful-(If that's a word)

Oh yes, cranberries have plenty of fiber. In fact one cup of cranberries contains 16 percent of your recommended daily allowance of fiber. Who would have thought that. Most of the time when you think of fruits or vegetables with fiber, you think of those leafy greens. Well count of some cranberries to meet your daily need of fiber. It will help keep down the hunger and keep your digestive tract on the move.

    2)Keep the colds away

Well, it's not just apples and oranges that do this I see. Of course, we all know how important Vitamin C is to our health and especially our immune health. Well go figure this.  One cup of cranberries has about 19 percent of your recommended daily allowance. So during the flu and cold season, make sure you load up on cranberries.

    3) Loaded with antioxidants

So we all know that antioxidants are great for cleaning your system and helping to get rid of unwanted toxins from the body. Cranberries contain polyphenolics and isoprenoids. These substances are excellent in helping to prevent cancer. Anyone experiencing any crisis that is cancer related can benefit from cranberries.

    4)Keep Your Digestive Tract Moving

So if you have issues with your bowels moving properly, you may want to grab you some cranberries.  As we mentioned earlier, they are chock full of fiber that aids in the digestive process. Not only that, the fiber in cranberries has a type of prebiotic component that feeds your gut bacteria and enable them to thrive.

    5)Keep Blood Sugar in Check

Ok, so cranberries aren't the sweetest fruit out there. In fact it is actually one of the lowest-sugar type fruits. So consuming quite a bit will definitely not give you a sugar high. Cranberries contain manganese and manganese has been found to control blood sugar levels. So if you have Type II diabetes, then cranberries should be your go to fruit.

So no cranberries don't cure urinary tract infections, but with all of it's other benefits you are sure to feel better if any of these conditions mentioned have you out of whack. And because of it's antioxidant effect, anyone with a urinary tract infection may not be cured but it will sure aid in getting rid of toxins. So head on down to your local farmers market and get some cranberries to get your day started off right and your health in check.

It's More Than Just Toilet Paper

    Tuesday, February 19, 2019

Sometimes in life you think you will end up one way and you actually end up on another journey.  Sometimes these pivots are not always understood.  It takes time for them to be revealed.  So it is with the WHOLEROLL story.

WHOLEROLL started as an idea for a patent pending product that would provide more convenience for the consumer. We created a prototype of  a tissue roll that was going to be an all-in-one spindle and tissue roll together.  All you had to do was pop it in and pop it out.  We thought that would be easy enough to get all the dads to change the toilet paper rolls. Sorry dads.  So we set out to develop this patent pending product.

In the development process we learned that WHOLEROLL was so much more than just a product of convenience. In fact, it was not about convenience at all. It was something so much bigger. We needed to create a bathroom tissue that wasn't made from cut down trees and did not contain chlorine.  We had learned and found out that 98% of the tissue on bathroom shelves and retail shelves were made of trees. Trees are so important in the fight against climate change. Trees absorb carbon emissions and they are considered the lungs of the earth.

So, bamboo became our resource of inspiration. Bamboo has so many awesome qualities. One it is very soft and soft is extremely important in the toilet paper business. No one and I mean no one will use it even if it is good for the environment if it's not soft. So being soft was a plus. Bamboo is also strong and contains antibacterial properties and antifungal properties. Those qualities alone sets bamboo above the rest. No trees cut down, no chlorine used to whiten and bamboo grows 20x's faster than trees. This was it. This was the new resource we were going to use to help transform the toilet paper business from participating in deforestation and giving the consumer a more healthy organic alternative that did not contain chlorine.

WHOLEROLL partners with The Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees. We began this partnership long before we ever sold a product because that is the foundation of who we are. We care about the earth, trees and the future of the next generation. Products today must not only be useful but they must involve purpose greater than the product itself. Ecofriendly products once considered a luxury are now a must. In order to help combat the global climate crisis, every household can take part by using sustainable products that are healthy for the consumer and good for the planet.

Could My Toilet Paper Be Sending Me to The Gynecologist?

    Saturday, February 16, 2019

Can toilet paper really cause allergies? Can toilet paper be the culprit to women having female discomfort and vaginal issues? Could toilet paper be the reason some women end up in the gynecologist office more frequently than they thought they should be.  Surprisingly many people don't realize that you can be sensitive to certain toilet papers. This can be a problem for both men and women. This often times though is more of a female issue because women use toilet paper a whole lot more than men do.

Many women don't realize that toilet paper can irritate your vulva and other areas near and around the vagina. There is a certain way to wipe such as front to back, and a certain gentle care you must take to protect the personal areas from getting all sorts of infection. Choosing a toilet paper that is lint free is also a must as those small pieces of paper can get into the areas and cause yeast infections and your toilet paper would be the last thing you think to have caused it.

One of the main problems with white toilet paper and many people don't realize this is that there are additives used in the manufacturing process. Chlorine is often used to soften and whiten the toilet paper. Toilet paper does not have to be white in order to be clean. In fact the natural brown toilet paper is as clean as the white. The brown toilet paper or unbleached toilet paper in America is not considered as acceptable as in other countries and that is simply because in America they associate white with clean and purity.

Natural and Organic is best. WHOLEROLL is organic and natural and whitened with hydrogen peroxide a natural substance . WHOLEROLL is Amazon's Choice for unbleached, organic and sensitive toilet paper. It is best for the entire family because it is all natural and organic. It is great for those who are sensitive to tissues and those who may have allergies. WHOLEROLL is the better solution for this generation because it is BPA free, lint free, chlorine free, hypoallergenic, septic tank safe and ecofriendly.

Great Skin Begins With This Natural Product

    Tuesday, February 12, 2019

Glycerine, glycerince…... glycerin. Oh the many uses of glycerine. It is such a useful product and not very many people know about it. Most people know it as a byproduct in making natural soaps, but there are thousands of other applications and uses for glycerine and we are going to take a look at few.

So what is glycerine used in. It's used in lotions, baked goods, cooking and all different kinds of beauty products. Glycerine is wonderful for the skin. Daily use will produce some amazing benefits. Exactly what does it do you say. Here are a few benefits it has on the skin.

    1. Promotes the Skin Cell Maturation-Glycerin fights the common condition we know as psoriasis.  During research doctors found that when glycerine is placed or applied to the skin, cells will regenerate back to the normal state.  This will eliminate the skin shedding to quickly which can make for a thick and scaly skin.
    2. Helps with Water Balance-Glycerine hydrates the outer layer of the skin. We know your insides needs water but do you know that it is just as important to hydrate the outside. Glycerine helps to reduce the evaporation rate of water from the skin. This will keep the skin from drying out too quickly
    3. Skin Appearance Improves- In addition to making sure the moisture levels are maintained and are buoyant, glycerine keeps the skin healthy. Well just how does this happen?  Glycerine is a natural emollient therefore it is designed to moisturize. Glycerine also has exfoliating capabilities which keeps the skin from looking to rough and dry. In fact with regular use you will notice a soft supple appearance.

Glycerine is a natural emollient. It is definitely a natural product that should and probably already is in every home through products you use everyday such as lotions, soaps, cleaning products and more. If you want to keep your skin looking beautiful and glowing, then a little glycerine a day will go a long way.

Is This Green New Deal the Final Clarion Call?

    Friday, February 08, 2019

Climate change is a crisis that we must deal with now. Amazingly though, there is much opposition on every hand. On yesterday, a young freshmen representative introduced a house bill call the 'The Green Deal. This 'Green New Deal' has already been criticized for it's lack of detail and it's inability to explain where the funding will come from. We see it as a start.

WHOLEROLL LLC. believes in sustainability. We promote the use of our green products as well as others in order to contribute in the reduction of carbon emissions and the use of fossil fuels. We as a company believe that this deal should not be a political issue because it is a people's crisis not a red, white or blue issue.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex introduced this bill along with Senator Ed Markey and other representatives from the house with much flack and backlash. We believe that someone has to take a stand for the future of our planet. We find it refreshing that a young millennial has decided to carry this torch. Every leader has to have a passion for what it believes. As a young 29 year old, she will witness and be a part of the great devastation that will happen if our country does not begin to embrace renewable energy at a greater pace than it is doing now. It is fitting that it is a 29 year old. Maybe an 80 year old wouldn't have as much passion.

Al Gore founder of The Climate Reality Leadership Corp, understood the magnitude of the global warming crisis decades ago. Today he rallies against the cries of it being a hoax even though he knows that it is a very real situation. It has been documented that the last 4 years have been the warmest or the hottest years ever recorded. That is no coincidence. It is no coincidence that floods are inundating smaller cities and countries. It is no coincidence that fires are destroying entire towns such as the city Paradise, California in 2018.

We are accustom to dealing with what only affects us. We are accustom to dealing with only what's right before us or what's visible to the eye. We are accustom to putting off what is not a priority right now. But thank goodness there are what we call visionaries who can see beyond the now and understand there must be a clarion call to protect our tomorrow. There is an urgency that many are blind to. Some people will never be affected. Others lives will be destroyed. It really takes bold leaders to stand up and proclaim we need to do something when 75% of the people don't understand the crisis or even see a problem. This Green New Deal is a big deal.

Whether this is a hoax or not, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to take care of the earth and there is nothing wrong with being responsible and minimizing the amounts of carbon emissions that is being emitted into the air.  What holds this back is big money. Big money often rules. This time though, big money may win the fight and lose the war. Could this be the final clarion call?

That’s Not Trash! - 7 Upcycling Tips You Can do At Home

    Tuesday, February 05, 2019

You have so many things at home you can reuse you would be surprised. Everything is not trash. You can remake some things into useful items. How do you do this? This process is called upcycling. When you upcycle you are taking those daily items you put it in the trash and make something useful out of it.

So how do you do this. Well it all begins in your wonderful imagination. There are many items you can use to reinvent your product. Don’t throw it away! You are only limited by your own imagination and most of us have a pretty good one. Think about what’s in your home. Those things you know you should throw away but can’t. Think of a creative way to repurpose it. You know like your favorite pair of jeans. think of using it in a quilt. You know those jelly jars you kinda feel irresponsible by just dropping in the trash. Redesign them and use them as planters. There are so many things you can upcycle and reuse if you just only use your imagination. Let’s take a look at a few more right here to get you motivated and ready to repurpose.

    1. Take plastic bottles and use for plants
    2. Take that newspaper and use as your firestarter
    3. Make plant markers from ice cream sticks
    4. Wine bottles as rolling pins
    5. Mason jars for candles
    6. Plastic bags for trash or storage
    7. Napkin rings made out of toilet paper rolls.

OK. You get the idea. Take a look around in your home. There are infinite items that can be used as a repurposing project. Often times, they are things you never even thought about. You just quickly throw them away. Now, we know you can’t reuse everything, but if you begin to reuse just a few things, you can save money, find it useful in other ways and you know what? You are helping preserve the earth by being responsible and keeping less trash out of the oceans and landfills. If nothing else, that is enough. So before you toss it out as trash, see if you can turn it into a treasure.

The Impact of Climate Change is Right in Front of Your Eyes

    Friday, February 01, 2019

One of the misconceptions of climate change or global warming is that if there is a cold day people assume that climate change is a hoax. People are often heard saying, "How can it be a climate change or global warming if it's 5 degrees outside?" Here is a simple explanation. Weather is now. It's what you see today. Climate change is long term. So if it is cold today and warm tomorrow, that is weather. Global warming is about a consistency and pattern of weather conditions over years and decades. One cold day does not discredit global warming.

What is the evidence? Just recently or even currently the polar vortex has sent a wave of cold that has not been seen in decades. The warming is causing extreme fluctuations. Who would have ever thought it could be colder in the United States than it is in Antarctica. Well that is what is happening right now. There are pictures of Lake Michigan completely frozen over and it looks like Antarctica.

We are living in somewhat of an invisible but visible crisis. It is easily visible to the scientific eye. But to the everyday person it may not be. What is visible are the earthquakes, famines, floods, tsunamis, uncontrollable fires and increasingly rising seal levels, yet some still don't believe. We must believe. We are experiencing devastation right at this moment. There are pieces of land the size of Manhattan, New York that are getting washed away in Bangladesh. There is unusual sea life die offs due to abnormally warm ocean water temperatures. This is just the beginning. What will it look like in 2050? If we don't begin to take strategic actions to combat this crisis, we disable the next generation.

Our children are our future. The land is not ours, but it our responsibility. What are we going to do? Speak to your local representatives and ask them to support green legislation.  We have no more time to waste. Just as this crisis has slowly crept upon us, it will take that much time to reverse the problem. Be proactive because the impact of climate change is right in front of your eyes.
