 In this digital era, celebrities can now easily connect with their followers through social media and create awareness. They use their voice to raise global issues like climate change, global warming and water crisis on different platforms. Some of them have even launched their own eco-friendly brands and are working with NGOs to help save the environment. Let’s take a look at few celebrities who are making a positive change by promoting environmental sustainability.

 1. Leonardo DiCaprio Leonardo DiCaprio, from the beginning of his carrier aimed to bring a positive change in the environment. To realize his passion towards nature, he started Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation in 1998. Since then, he never looked back and is continuously working as an environmental activist. His foundation supports different projects worldwide related to wildlife conservation and climate change. He also creates awareness regarding environment issues such as pollution and ice loss on his Instagram profile.

 2. Stella McCartney Stella McCartney owns a high end fashion brand which sells bags, accessories and clothing. She promotes sustainability by never using leather in any of her products. Moreover, she has introduced organic cotton babywear in her fashion line. Her brand started measuring its environmental impact since 2012 which enabled them to eliminate the use of materials such as virgin cashmere that have an overall negative impact on the environment.

 3. Emma Watson The harry potter star Emma Watson along with being a UN ambassador, advocates sustainable lifestyle. In 2016, Emma wore an outfit at Met Gala, made of sustainable and recycled material from plastic to promote sustainable fashion. Through her Instagram post it reflects that how much she cares about ethical fashion and participates in various environment friendly campaigns. Moreover, she creates awareness about organizations like trees for the future which aims to alleviate poverty and hunger by educating farmers to restore their farm areas.

 4. Jessica Alba Jessica Alba incorporates sustainability in her brand named Honest. Her brand sells eco-friendly baby care and personal care products. There are 2,500 materials they have prohibited to use in their products to ensure the health and safety of the environment. Jessica supports various social and environmental causes along with actively engaging in charitable activities. She is also an honoree of charities like Baby2Baby which provides basic necessities to underprivileged children.
